Feel Good Drinks: Logo Re-design

Above is the Feel good logo, it does the job however I wanted to strip it back  and re-design it as part of the new packaging design. I think that the hint of smiley faces in the type does suggest happiness but perhaps is more appropriate for the children's drinks. Trying to attract 18-35 year old women I don't think this is something that will appeal to them.

I wanted to keep an element of the smile so I have dropped the 'good' down in the middle to suggest the shape of a smile. The type being close together and curved at the bottom makes the type into the fruit - it could resemble an apple or any round fruit I guess. I decided to use my hand drawn logo as a starting point and trace around it on illustrator. I wanted to do this over picking an manipulating a font because I think it makes it a lot more personal and handmade, it fits in with the target market and hand made type will be incorporated into the poster designs.
