Ringtons Tea: Visual Research

Ringtons Visual Research

There are some brilliant old photographs of Ringtons Tea from the 1900's where horse and carriages were used to deliver the tea. These pictures express the heart of the brand; excellent customer service, family run small business. I am wondering whether I can incorporate one of the images into the design to bring the packaging back to its history.

I really like the typography used as signage for the company's building. I am wondering if this font could work as a logo/company name on the box as it is more delicate and classic compared to the Ringtons logo.

Design elements used in the original advertising could be bought back into the design to combine classic with modern, retaining their history but refreshing it for today.

Packaging Design Visual Research

The patterns create intrigue into the design, subtle differences in the pattern as well as changes in colour help to distinguish the flavours.

I like the use of bold colour next to black and using colour on the sides to create a contrast.

A slightly gentler design with, again, colourful sides but a lighter front with a natural graphic coming from a cup.

I really like the vibrant contrast between the rich fruit colours and the darker muted background. The design very much reflects the brand and what it represents.

This hand rendered style makes the packaging feel like a piece of art almost. It is something you want to own.
